While you may not realize that you’re deficient in calcium, you can start to recognize when your body starts to feel in a constant state of exhaustion, your muscles are cramping, you have a weak appetite or you feel unusual heart rhythms.

Vitamin D

Aside from getting this vitamin from orange juice, our body also absorbs vitamin D from the rays of the sun. Now, it may seem pretty easy to enjoy the benefits from this vitamin, but as we age, our bodies have more and more difficult of time absorbing it. Because of that, it’s not uncommon for adults to be deficient.

Similar to calcium, vitamin D has symptoms of muscle cramps, weakness, and fatigue. In the long run, it is also known for letting the bones go soft, which can be an extremely dangerous as we age and accidents can be more prone to happening. Add some vitamin D to your diet by adding milk or yogurt, fatty fish, or just spending a little bit more time outdoors so that you can soak up that sunshine.

Iron

Depending on what type of diet type you’re working to maintain, there’s a good chance that you might be struggling to maintain the levels of iron that you have in your body. Iron is one of the most important nutrients that your body needs and is the nutrient to thank when it comes to the creation of red blood cells. When you have low levels of iron, your body doesn’t have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout your body, which can become extremely dangerous for quite a few organs.

If you’re not a big fan of meat, there is a chance that you have low levels of iron in your body, but there are also supplements that you can take to increase the amount of iron that you get.
